07/06/2023

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) has been informed through a regular food monitoring system that the Consumer Affairs Agency of Japan had announced that a type of Bonne Maman jam produced in France may have been contaminated with mould. IAM pays close attention to the incident and has immediately issued a food alert to the local food sector, and sent personnel to the market for inspection. The product involved in the incident is not found for sale in Macao.

The brand of the product involved is Bonne Maman; product name: Bonne Maman Bitter Orange Marmalade; weight of content: 30g; origin: France; expiry date: 31 October 2024.

As a precautionary measure, IAM calls on the consumers who have purchased or have the above-mentioned affected batch of products to stop consuming them immediately. If any members of the sector have the relevant batches of products, they should take the initiative to remove them from the shelves and report it to IAM’s Department of Food Safety for follow-up.
