About us
The Division of Risk Management and Planning has the following authority:
  1. To conduct studies and make proposals for the establishment of food safety policies, planning and goals;
  2. To investigate and handle complaints regarding food safety issues;
  3. To implement prevention and control measures adopted by the provisions of Law No. 5/2013 “Food Safety Law”;
  4. To keep surveillance of food products circulating in the market, especially through the inspection of food production and trading sites or establishments;
  5. To investigate and handle food safety incidents;
  6. To enforce the policies and decisions regarding food safety incidents;
  7. To conduct inspections for food safety purposes;
  8. To initiate litigation procedures and compile dossiers on the administrative offence stipulated by Law No. 5/2013 “Food Safety Law”.
